Maybe you want to learn more on how BeachbodyWHAT IS PIYO??. Read more ... » Coaches actually earn money.  Or maybe you want to know how it is possible for Coaches to earn the large amounts of money that you hear about some Coaches making. Whatever it is you are looking for, if it has to do with the Beachbody Coach compensation plan, I’ll be explaining how it all works in this post.

At first glance, the Beachbody Coach compensation plan can seem kind of complicated, especially if you are not familiar with the business model Beachbody uses, which is network marketing. In this post I’m going to try and explain it as simple as possible so it is easy to understand.

Beachbody Coach Compensation Plan For Retail Sales

There are 2 parts to the Beachbody Coach compensation plan. The first part is retail sales. The retail compensation plan for Coaches is pretty straightforward and easy to understand. Generally speaking, a Coach earns a 25% commission on any retail sale that they make.

For example, if a Beachbody Coach sells a P90xTony Horton 10-Minute Jump Rope Workout. Read more ... », which retails for $120, the Coach will earn a 25% commission which would work out to be $30. So if a Coach makes 5 P90x sales in one week, that Coach would make $150 that week (5 x $30 =$150).

Let’s do another example with ShakeologyBrazil Butt Move: The Samba Tomato. Read more ... ». Shakeology retails for $130, so the 25% commission is about the same as a P90x, at $32. But when a customer reorders the following month, the Coach will earn another $32 commission. Shakeology is the product that can make Beachbody Coaches a lot of money because it is a consumable product, which means the customers uses it up, then reorders more. (This is an important concept to understand, as Beachbody Coach, acquiring a Shakeology customer will be more more valuable to you over time than a customer that just wants to order one workout, one time.)

What is great about the Beachbody Coach compensation plan is that there are no quotas to meet in order to be able to qualify to receive commissions on retail sales. A Coach will always earn a 25% commission on any sales that they make. This usually isn’t the case with other home based businesses. Typically a distributor will start out in a lower commission percentile range, say 10% for example, and then their percentage will move up as they sell more volume. With Beachbody’s compensation plan, it doesn’t matter if you sell 1 Shakeology, or 100 Shakeologies, the commission is still 25%.

Beachbody Coach Compensation Plan For Team Cycle Bonuses

The second part to Beachbody’s compensation plan is team cycle bonuses, and this is where things start to get a little complicated. Don’t be intimidated or overwhelmed, it actually is pretty simple to understand once you peel back  all the fancy wording and terminology. You’ll hear things like “right leg, “left leg”, “strong leg”, “weak leg”, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond,  but don’t let any of that confuse you  from the start.

Beachbody uses what is called a binary compensation plan. Basically, all that means is that each Coach has 2 legs that they build “wide” and “deep”. Below is an image of how a binary compensation plan works:

The most lucrative part of the Beachbody Coach compensation plan has to do with team cycle bonuses. When you hear about Coaches making tens of thousands a dollars a month, it is because they have built a large organization that is producing a lot of team volume. Keep in my mind that “team volume” is volume that is created by anyone within your organization, it doesn’t matter if you personally sponsored them or not.

First, it is important to know that in order to be eligible to receive cycle bonuses, a Coach has to be the rank of Emerald or above. In order to be Emerald, all a Coach has to do is personally sponsor 2 other active Coaches, 1 in each leg. Below is an image that shows how this works:

Basically, team cycle bonuses can be described like this. A Beachbody Coach will earn a cycle bonus, anytime there is 300 TV (team volume) points in their organization, with 200 TV being one leg, and 100 being in the other.

Depending on the rank of the Coach, a cycle bonus is worth either $14 for an Emerald Coach, $16 for a Ruby Coach, and $18 for a Diamond Coach. You might be thinking, $14?…big whoop right? Well the $14 is for 1 cycle, it is possible to cycle numerous times a day, in which case the cycle bonuses start to add up.

Below is an example of how the team cycle bonuses work:

Beachbody Coach Team Cycle Bonus Example

In the picture above, an Emerald Coach has a total 740 team volume points, 540 TV in the left leg, and 200 TV in the right leg, so in this case, the Emerald Coach would earn 2 cycle bonuses $14 each, or $28 total. All unused team volume stays and will accumulate until the Coach is able to earn a cycle bonus on it.

A Coach is able to build an organization that can go down to infinite levels, there is no max to the amount of people a Coach can have on their team. However, there is a weekly maximum a Coach can earn in cycle bonuses, and that maximum amount depends on the Coach’s rank. Below are the weekly maximums for the corresponding rank:

  • Emerald – $250/week
  • Ruby – $1000/week
  • Diamond – $2000/week
  • 1 Star Diamond – $3000/week
  • 2 Star Diamond -$4000/week
  • 3 Star Diamond -$5000/week
  • 4 Star Diamond – $6000/week
  • 5 Star Diamond – $7000/week
  • 6 Star Diamond – $8000/week
  • 7 Star Diamond – $9000/week
  • 8 Star Diamond – $10,000/week
  • 9 Star Diamond – $11,000/week
  • 10 Star Diamond – $12,000/week

Also, the numbers listed above are per business center. When Coaches advance in rank, at certain levels they are allowed to open up new business centers. For example, when a Coach reaches the rank of 2 Star Diamond, they are allowed to open up a new business center and place it anywhere they want in their organization. This new business center has its own weekly maximum limits on cycle bonuses. In total, a Coach is allowed to open up to 25 business centers in total, making the Beachbody Coach compensation plan almost limitless. Imagine having 25 business centers, all maxing out the compensation plan at $12,000 a week. I’m not an expert at math, but I think that adds up to about $300,000 a week, or $15,600,000 a year!

Remember, those numbers listed above are at the absolute end of the spectrum, most people are not going to come anywhere close to making that kind of money as a Beachbody Coach. But making a million dollars a year after 5 -10 years is definitely possible, and making 6 figures in 3-5 years even more realistic.

If you curious about how the rankings work, below is a chart that explains how Beachbody Coaches advance in rank:

Beachbody Comp Plan

The chart above show the rank level up to Diamond. After Diamond is is possible to go up to 1 Star Diamond, all the way to 15 Star Diamond. A Diamond Coach becomes a 1 Star Diamond Coach when one of their personally sponsored Coaches reaches the rank of Diamond. And a 1 Star Diamond Coach become a 2 Star Diamond Coach when a  total of 2 of their personally sponsored Coaches reach Diamond. And it goes up like this all the way up to 15 Star, which is the highest rank a Coach can achieve.

It is important to understand that just starting out as a brand new Coach, the majority of the money you will earn will come from your retail sales. As you grow a team, your team cycle bonus will start out slow and slowly grow as your team grows. It is also important to understand exponential growth, and that is the early stages growing a team will be more challenging. For example, growing a team from 0 to 100 can be more challenging than growing from 100 to 1000. As you bring new Coaches, and then those new Coaches start to bring in Coaches, and all of those Coaches start to bring in new Coaches, and so on, and so on, things can start to snowball and grow pretty fast. The key is to be able to endure the struggle it takes to grow a team in the beginning.

There are also a few different bonuses Coaches can qualify for but I really don’t want to get into right now, they are not very important to know about right from the start. The key is to not spend time trying to learn all of the specifics before you get signed up as a Coach. I recommend getting signed up and learning as you go.
